BODMIN TOWN
League Position 11th
After their 27 league game unbeaten record was stopped by Tavistock’s 1-0 win at Priory Park, Bodmin have recorded a win and draw. The draw came at home to Plymouth Parkway 0-0. In the FA Vase they have beaten Western League Bishops Sutton away 3-1 and Wadebridge 4-0 and on Saturday they took on Western league Premier Division side Brislington in the 1st Round Proper, but lost out 3-2. At present they have only played five league games gaining ten points and they have only conceded one goal in the league this season. In the Throgmorton Cup Bodmin must travel to Division One West side Dobwalls in the 2nd round.

CLYST ROVERS
League Position 9th
Clyst were undefeated in their last three league games, which includes two draws (both being 3-3) and a comprehensive 5-1 home win over newly promoted Newton Abbot, but did lose on Saturday at Wadebridge 2-1. Now in a mid-table position in the league table with 11 points from 8 games. This is a much better start than that of last season and they have lost just twice in the league this season. Nick Murrey leads the scoring stakes with 6 and he is followed by Richard Gomm with 4 in the league. In the Thogmorton Cup Clyst had a local derby with Alphington at the Chronicles and came away with a 5-3 win after extra time, they now have a 2nd round tie against the Royal Marines from Division One East at Waterslade Park.

CULLOMPTON RANGERS
League Position 14th
Cullompton have only played five league games to date and in their last game they got back to winning ways at Elburton Villa on the 6th September, that win coming after they had lost twice on the trot. They have had good success in the FA Vase beating Western League Welton Rovers away 2-0 which set up Saturdays local derby in that competition against Weston League Premier Division Willand Rovers, in which they secured a 0-0 draw and a replay at Silver Street this week.. Matt Dawson and Harry Taylor lead the scoring table with four league goals a piece. In the Throgmorton Cup 1st Round Cully travelled to University of Exeter and overcame the Students 4-2, they now face a tough game against Plymouth Parkway at Speeds Meadow where they have already beaten them in the league this season.

DARTMOUTH
League Position 3rd
Dartmouth lost their first game of the new season away at Launceston 1-0 on the 27th September, but they got back to winning ways last week with a fine 2-1 home win over a much fancied Saltash United side, with the goals coming from John Rimmer and new signing from Elburton Villa Lee Johnson. After that win they climbed to the top of the table. Simon Lewcock and John Rimmer have four goals each in the league. In the Throgmorton Cup Dartmouth had a bye in the 1st Round and now face a home tie at Longcross against fellow Premier Division side Witheridge.

ELBURTON VILLA
League Position 18th
Elburton have just one win in the league this season. They lost their first four league games before winning at home to Newton Abbot 3-0 on the 13th September. Lost again though at Dartmouth on the 20th September 3-1. And they lost again on Saturday when we (Buckland) won 5-2 at Haye Road. They have now lost their top striker Lee Johnson to Dartmouth and are near the bottom of the table at present. They have found scoring league goals a problem scoring just eight times in seven games, Lee Johnson with 3 and Sam Hughes 2 leading the way in their goalscoring charts. In the Throgmorton Cup Elburton travelled to Division One East strugglers Liverton United in the 1st Round and ran out comfortable winners 6-2, in the 2nd Round they face Holsworthy at Haye Road.

FALMOUTH TOWN
League Position 19th
Falmouth had lost all five of their league games this season and scored just four goals in those games. But on Saturday they won their first game away at Newton Spurs 2-1. They need to put some results together soon and are the only team currently without a point. Andy Tridgian with two goals is their top scorer. In the Throgmorton Cup they had a bye in the first round and they will entertain St Blazey in the 2nd round.

HOLSWORTHY
League Position 20th
Another side that at present are struggling this season with just one point from 8 league games. They did lose their first six games of the league season before grabbing a 3-3 draw away at Clyst Rovers on the 20th September. They lost again on Saturday at home to fellow strugglers Liskeard 1-0. They are another side struggling for goals this season, they’ve scored just six in those eight games. They have conceded 33 almost double what any side has conceded in the Premier Division. Had better luck in the St Luke’s Bowl winning 3-2 at home to Newton Spurs last week and they will host Western league Premier Division side Willand Rovers next. In the Throgmorton Cup they travelled to Division One West strugglers Vospers Oak Villa and won through 3-2, in the 2nd round they travel again this time to Elburton Villa.

LAUNCESTON
League Position 8th
Launceston have won their last three league games after not winning any of the previous three. They now have 13 points from 8 games and are in the to half of the table. Andy Sargent a summer signing from Plymouth Parkway has got five goals already this season. In their last league game they inflicted Dartmouth’s first defeat of the season when winning 1-0 at home with Andy Sargent scoring from the penalty spot that game on the 27th September. In the FA Vase they have already beaten Minehead and Keynsham Town and in the 1st Round proper have a difficult game at Dawlish Town in which they were beaten 5-1. In the Throgmorton Cup they had a bye in the 1st Round and will now face an away tie at Premier Division form side Tavistock.

LISKEARD ATHLETIC
League Position 15th
Liskeard are another side that has only played 6 league games this season, having won at home against Newton Spurs on the opening day of the season they have now lost the next four, their last defeat at home to St Blazey 2-1. On Saturday they pick up their second 3 points at Holsworthy winning 1-0. They are also struggling to find the back of the net having scored just six in the league. In the Throgmorton Cup they entertained Division One West new boys Truro City and the game ended 4-4 after extra time, they eventually won through 3-1 on penalties. In the 2nd round they are home to Division One West pacesetters Penzance

NEWTON ABBOT
League Position 16th
Newton Abbot have played 7 league games, they lost their first two and followed that up by winning the next two. However they again have lost another three games, as on Saturday they went down 4-1 at Ivybridge Town at Erme Valley. Matt Micklewright with three league gaols leads the scoring charts at the club. They went out in the 1st Round of the Cup at home to Division One West side St Austell 3-2.

NEWTON SPURS
League Position 13th
Newton Spurs have played 9 league games so far with a very young squad. They hadn’t lost in their last three games which includes two wins and one draw. But on Saturday they entertained bottom side Falmouth and lost 2-1 at the Rec. They too went out of the Throgmorton Cup in the 1st round when they travelled to Ivybridge and lost 3-1. In the St Lukes Bowl they went out in the 1st Round losing 3-2 away at Holsworthy.

PLYMOUTH PARKWAY
League Position 5th
Parkway have played 10 league games, but hadn’t won in their last four games, which includes three draws and one defeat. But on Saturday they got back to winning ways with a 3-1 away win at Witheridge. Chris Wright leads the way in their goal scoring stakes with an impressive nine goals. In the Throgmorton Cup they had a bye in the 1st Round and in the 2nd Round have a difficult away tie at Cullompton Rangers who have already beaten them in the League 3-1 at Speeds Meadow.

SALTASH UNITED
League Position 7th
Saltash have played eight league games, but they lost their last league game 2-1 away at Dartmouth. Considered as many people’s favourites to mount a serious challenge for the title have now lost three games already and will have to put a winning run together like they did last season when from the 29th September they won twelve games on the trot. Shaun Manley ( a summer signing from Bodmin Town) and Glenn Palmer have both scored 3 league goals this season. In the Cup they are another of the Premier Division clubs that had bye’s in the 1st Round and will travel the short distance to Callington Town in the 2nd Round.

ST BLAZEY
League Position 12th
St Blazey have played 8 league games, and they have won just once in their last 6 games, that win coming at Liskeard Athletic 2-1. The latest defeat was away at Torpoint 5-3 after they were winning 2-0. Top scorers are Dominic Richardson and Dave Trott with three each. In the Throgmorton Cup they had a bye in Round One and will now face an away tie in the 2nd Round at Bickland Park against Premier Division Strugglers Falmouth Town.

TAVISTOCK
League Position 6th
Tavistock are the Premier Division’s form side at the moment, after losing their opening day fixture away at Cullompton Rangers 7-1, they have now gone on to win their next five league games to move themselves towards the top of the table. Their last game on the 30th September ended in a 1-0 home win over Torpoint Athletic. Mike Southgate and Dave Hallett with two goals each lead their scoring stakes. They went out of the FA Vase on Saturday away at Frome town 2-1 after extra time. In the Throgmorton Cup they won away at Division One East new boys Bovey Tracey 4-3, that after being 4-1 up in the second half, in the 2nd round they host Launceston.

TORPOINT ATHLETIC
League Position 4th
Torpoint are having an indifferent start to the new season, although being in the top four in the league table they have played 12 games, more than any other team. In those 12 games they have won 6, drawn 1 and lost 5. They won on Saturday 5-3 at home to St Blazey. They also seem to be conceding far more goals than last season, 26 in those 12 game. Adam Carter having returned to the club after his summer transfer to Tavistock in the last couple of weeks has scored four times in the league along with Darren Hicks. In the Throgmorton Cup they had a bye in the 1st Round and in the 2nd face an away tie at Division One East pace setters Galmpton Gents.

WADEBRIDGE TOWN
League Position 10th
League new boys Wadebridge have played 7 league games so far this season, winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 2, after their promotion as Division One west Champions last season. They won on Saturday at home to Clyst Rovers 2-1. Paul Grills with three league goals heads their goal scoring charts. In the Throgmorton Cup they beat Division One West side Hayle at home 1-0 and in the 2nd Round they will entertain Division One West new boys Godolphin Atlantic.

WITHERIDGE
League Position 17th
Witheridge having finished last season on a 12 game unbeaten run are struggling at the beginning of the new season, just like they did last season. They have played 7 league games so far and they have yet to register a league win, with three draws and four defeats. And they lost again on Saturday at home to Plymouth Parkway 1-3. They have only managed to score six league goals so far, with Phil Everett and Jake Crush scoring two each. In the Throgmorton Cup they were another side to get a bye in the 1st Round and a very difficult away tie at Dartmouth in the 2nd Round.
